We had a unseasonable cold spell last week that brought record snow flurries our way. Lovey was already off from school that day and Mister Mister ended up having it off from work as well because of freezing temperatures. We didn’t mind, cozy pajamas and snow gazing was perfectly fine with us.
Counting My blessings On A Sunday Afternoon
is where I reflect on a few of the many blessing and special moments in my life at the end of every week♥
This week I am especially thankful for!…
~I had the pleasure of accompanying Lovey on his first school field trip. We saw a local children’s theater’s production of Annie the musical. Lovey and I had watched Annie the movie in preparation of the field trip so it was fun to listen to him sing along to all the songs… “I love you tomorrow! ♥”
~A new throw pillow that I absolutely love. It’s a pretty burnt orange which works in with all the earthy tones in our home and it has white writing that says “home is where the home is.”
~There were a few days of high winds in our city which knocked out a lot of people’s power but luckily we were spared.
~Those same winds brought an unusual cold front for this time of year which produced surprise snow flurries one afternoon. Mister Mister had the afternoon off from work because of the freezing temps so the three of us cuddled up together in Mister Mister’s and my bed and watched a few red box movies.
~My ipsy came a week early and it very well may be my favorite one that I have ever received. Double happy!
~Sunday funday, a tried and true evening at Chuck E. Cheese with our little guy. It’s amazing the decimal volume I am willing to endure for pizza and of course Lovey’s happy smile.
Thank You Lord,
for Your many gracious blessings in my life!
In February we had a snow storm that the local news stations called Winter Blast. It was the most snow that we had seen in the almost five years that we have lived here in the North West. Mister Mister’s work was cancelled and we were snowed in our neighborhood for several days. We took it in stride and had ourselves a staycation. It was filled with snow ball fights, snow angels, snowmen, snowy walks, snow exploring, snow coloring and all things snow related for the five days we were home together. Winter Blast 2014 will always hold a lot of fun memories for us.
We awoke to a light dusting of snow one morning back in early December. Because of the rarity, a dusting is considered an official snow day here. Mister Mister’s work was even cancelled for the day due to freezing temps. As he took advantage of his day off with a long nap, Lovey and I headed outside to play.
Our elf Elfie watched the snow fall outside while perched on a window seal. It’s never too early to learn to drive in snow! After coming in to warm up we snacked on some marshmallows and made a marshmallow snowman craft, tasty and fun.A snow day with my little cutie well spent. ♥
