Counting My Blessings On A Sunday Afternoon

Counting My Blessings On A Sunday Afternoon

is where I reflect on a few of the many blessings and special moments in my life

at the end of every week ♥

This week I am especially thankful for!…

~A beautiful, water colored filled sky ending the first day of February.

~My parents 40th wedding anniversary. Amongst all the reflections their anniversary stirs within my heart, one is the reminder that it was this union that brought my life into exsistance. The life that I am beyond blessed to live. I love them deeply and I know God had a purpose for choosing them to be my parents.

~A new start in the mind and heart of someone who I love. Romans 8:28 ♥

~The weekend with my boys. Grocery shopping. Sonic. A warm meal for someone in need. Playing Hot Wheels. Coloring. Playing Power Rangers. Pizza & wings. Football. Lots of Lovey tickles. Happy. Together.

~Cuddles on the couch with Mister Mister and Lovey as we watched the Superbowl together. Lovey’s super cute sideline commentary was certainly a highlight of the game regardless of who ended up winning.

~My first post this year. My first post in quite a bit longer than that, actually. More about that another time, maybe. For now I’m happy to be blogging again. To be writing and sharing again. I’ve missed it!

Thank You Lord,

for Your many gracious blessings in my life!

Counting My blessings On A Sunday Afternoon

is where I reflect on a few of the many blessing and special moments in my life at the end of every week♥

This week I am especially thankful for!…

~A beautiful rainbow right outside my front door.

~Taking advantage of the rare occasion of Lovey taking an afternoon nap by running a hot bubble bath for myself and watching the rain pour down outside my bathroom window.

~Speaking of rain, Lovey pronounces umbrella “biola.” Now that it’s more or less a constant down pour around these parts every time we head out the door he exclaims, “don’t forget the biola!” It makes me laugh every time.

~Fall scents are out in full force in our home and I am loving it. Pumpkin candles and Harvest popuri collectively come together to fill our home with a warm and cozy scented ambiance.

~Playing cash register/store with Lovey. He enjoys being the cashier/store owner and I am his customer. He gives me a family discount so it works out well.

~Lovey drew a heart for me for the very first time this week. I was taken back by how over the moon filled with joy a few strokes of a green marker on purple paper could make me. It came as a surprise that it would mean that much to me but it truly did! He even scribbled wrote “I love you so, so much!” on it.

Melt my ♥

Thank You Lord,

for Your many gracious blessings in my life!

Heading Out

Sunrise over the ocean; anniversary trip 2010.

We are packing up and heading out to spend the day at the coast.

Lounging on the beach, sand between our toes.

The sound of the ocean and smell of salt water in the air.

The warm summer sun shining down on us.

All of which sounds like perfection to me!

I love being near the ocean, it always makes me feel closer to God.

It puts into perspective for me, how fleeting life really is each time the waves wash ashore then quickly recede.

It reminds me to live in the moment and find the beauty in it.

This will also be Lovey’s first beach trip.

So many memories to be made ahead of us today!
