First Field Trip

I had the pleasure of accompanying Lovey on his first field trip. We saw a local children’s theater’s production of Annie the musical. Lovey and I had watched Annie the movie several times in preparation of his field trip so it was fun to listen to him sing along to all the songs; “…I love you tomorrow! ♥” Someday we are going to see a broadway show together but for now this was a good start!

I’m glad I was able to be there with him and snap a few photos along the way for the scrapbooks!f6a

Sweet Ending

All good things must come to an end including sweet summertime which came and went entirely too fast this year, more so than usual if you ask me. Lovey and I ended it sweetly though with cool, sprinkle covered goodness. Until next year, summertime!photohynhyjyjy7a1a

Soccer Boy

Since Lovey was a small boy he’s had a fascination with soccer.

Yesterday he and I played a few games in the backyard. We pretended to be captains of our own teams. He named his The Alphabets and I named mine The Rollie Pollie Ollies.s3s2ss1The Alphabets won, 20-19, per Lovey’s score keeping.s4

Tick N’ Tater

For Christmas Lovey’s Grandparents got him a hot potato game which he loves to play. Over the weekend, while browsing the isles of Bed Bath & Beyond for Mother’s Day gift inspiration, Lovey spotted a water balloon version called Tick N’ Tater.

It was a near record-breaking, eighty-five degree day out and we were looking to take advantage of Mother Nature’s graciousness. I used my five dollar off coupon, bought it, then headed home to spend Sunday afternoon playing in the back yard with my cute, little hot potato fanatic. 😉 Untitled-2He chose which color balloons he wanted me to fill with water and he was in charge of putting them inside the potato.kiuyUntitled-1Oh sunshine, wont you shine down on me! thgtThe potato runs on a timer, slowly applying pressure to the balloon until eventually it pops. When the timer ran out one of us would end up wet followed by laughter from both of us. The sound of Lovey’s belly laughs always causes an inevitable chain reaction.♥j,Never a dull moment with this little boy. hkj

Counting My Blessings On A Sunday Afternoon

Counting My blessings On A Sunday Afternoon

is where I reflect on a few of the many blessing and special moments in my life at the end of every week♥  kjkij    This week I am especially thankful for!…

~Playing Hot Wheels on the kitchen floor with Lovey. We lost a few under the stove but it was worth the fast paced action the floor tile provided for racing. 😉

~The first day this year warm enough to wear shorts and flip-flops. Woo hoo! You can bet Lovey and I spent the afternoon out and about soaking up the sunshine and warmth of the day.

~New kitchen dish towels found on clearance and a splurge on new throw pillows for the couch. Both adding a little pop of yellow to our house for Spring.

~Playing superheros with my little man. I assume the role of a lady in distress and he’s the super hero that protects me from the bad guys. My sweet hero saves the day and keeps me safe every time!

~A beautiful and blessed Easter weekend spent with my boys. ♥

Thank You Lord,

for Your many gracious blessings in my life!
