Love You To Pieces

Lovey and I made these for his Grammy and Nana for Mother’s Day.

It is a cute craft for children to make and give any time of the year.

A perfect gift for any puzzle lovers in the family, like Lovey’s Nana! photo-3photo-4He was in his own little world as he enjoyed painting the pieces. photo-7 Untitled-1photo-1photo-2photo-11Once the paint had dried I glued all the pieces together and added the finishing touches like coordinating ribbon and magnet clips for refrigerator displaying. ;)

He was proud of all his hard work and his Grandmas loved their gifts!photo-10

Counting My Blessings On A Sunday Afternoon

is where I reflect on a few of the many blessing and special moments in my life at the end of every week♥

This week I am especially thankful for!…

~The above photo of a beautiful double rainbow that Mister Mister caught while he was at work.

~Memorial Day and the red white & blue! Thank you to all who have served and are currently serving in our military.

~Date night with my Love. We saw Hangover III (watching the Hangover movies in theater when they come out is our tradition!) and had a delicious dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.

~Ice cold strawberry milk. Mmmmm!

~The perfect Kick off to the first day of June with my little guy in our backyard blowing bubbles, playing kick ball/catch and enjoying DQ S’more Blizzards. ♥

Thank You Lord,

for Your many gracious blessings in my life!

This week I am especially thankful for!…

~An afternoon spent at the mall with Lovey. We ate coconut frozen yogurt and people watched as we set beneath the sky lights, storm clouds gathering and rain falling over head.

~A lovely, new picture collage arrangement in our diningroom. Every time I pass through the room it make me smile.

~Have I ever mentioned I have the sweetest little boy?! Lovey put lotion on my feet and “rubbed” them for me, completely unprompted. He is so thoughtful and kind. ♥

~Those “kids say the darndest things” moments are some of the most unexpected treasures in the life of a parent!… I was moving a heavy cabinet from my craft room to its new home in the “crafty hallway” (long story & a future post) when Lovey asked me, “Do you wish Daddy was here to help?” I replied, “That would be nice.” He thought for a second then replied, “Too bad I am not a magician! But I’m not and it’s not like I can wave a magic wand and POOF! Daddy is here.”… Maybe it was just me or maybe it was one of those moments you needed to be present to truly savor his humor. As I stood there though, staring at him only wearing his undies, waving a pretend magic wand, it was difficult to take him seriously and I couldn’t hold back my laughter. He really is one hilarious little guy.

~A late Friday afternoon nap with my little guy, inadvertently causing us to stay up well past our bedtime. I introduced him to my love of Home Alone movies and we played a multitude of made up off the cuff card games. His favorite “game,” organizing all the cards into numerical order lol. A wild Friday night for sure. ;)

Thank You Lord,

for Your many gracious blessings in my life!

This week I am especially thankful for!…

~Shopping for some crafty goodness with the Michael’s gift card Mister Mister’s mom gave me for Mother’s Day.

~I have such sweet childhood memories of visiting the Sonic drive in with my family. I’ve continued the memories with Lovey, going together when we are in the area during happy hour. There’s nothing like a limeaid on a hot day!

~A fun, fiesta themed baking order. Olay!

~A full week of nothing but sunny skies and warm temperatures and spending time outside each day enjoying it with Lovey.

~An early Mother’s Day celebration with Mister Mister’s mom. Lovey cuddled up on her lap and she read him a story then they played the afternoon away together while she and I had a great catch up conversation. Lovey and I always enjoy our time with her. ♥

~The thoughtful stranger who gave me a flower, then told me Happy Mother’s Day and that I am a beautiful Mom, while I was out and about with Lovey on Mother’s Day. It made my day.

~Mother’s Day spent with my sweet, little boy who makes it possible for me to embrace the day as a Mother. He is my whole world. ♥

Thank You Lord,

for Your many gracious blessings in my life!

Tick N’ Tater

For Christmas Lovey’s Grandparents got him a hot potato game which he loves to play. Over the weekend, while browsing the isles of Bed Bath & Beyond for Mother’s Day gift inspiration, Lovey spotted a water balloon version called Tick N’ Tater.

It was a near record-breaking, eighty-five degree day out and we were looking to take advantage of Mother Nature’s graciousness. I used my five dollar off coupon, bought it, then headed home to spend Sunday afternoon playing in the back yard with my cute, little hot potato fanatic. ;)  Untitled-2He chose which color balloons he wanted me to fill with water and he was in charge of putting them inside the potato.kiuyUntitled-1Oh sunshine, wont you shine down on me! thgtThe potato runs on a timer, slowly applying pressure to the balloon until eventually it pops. When the timer ran out one of us would end up wet followed by laughter from both of us. The sound of Lovey’s belly laughs always causes an inevitable chain reaction.♥j,Never a dull moment with this little boy. hkj

Blogiversary #3

Today is Life’s Moments third blogiversary!

From my very first post, this blog has been a true effort of love for me.

It holds so many of my life’s most special moments over the last three years and I adore going back through them all with a smile on my heart.

How do you like the new mini makeover?! I’m loving the new header.Untitled-wpheader

I’m still playing around with possible backgrounds, prints, solids or maybe I’ll keep with the crisp, clean minimal feel it has now.

Blogging has been a fun adventure for me and an outlet through which my writing and photography has grown. Here’s to many more years of growth and celebrating with one another our life’s most precious moments!

I truly appreciate everyone’s interest, love and support along the way.

 Thank you all! xo
