Today was special. Today called for a mid afternoon bath.

Not for necessity’s sake but simply for the fun of it!

Lovey played with a boat that his Papa had gotten him for Christmas a few years back.

“Dada work on da’ boat?” He asked me.

“Yes, Dada is at work on a boat.” I replied.

 ”Miss Dada.” He said.

“I miss Dada too, buddy. He will be home from work soon enough.” I told him.

When we were through I wrapped him up in a fluffy white towel like a little burrito baby.

As I carried him to my bed to dry him off and dress him I was brought back to a time not too long ago when he was much smaller. I would swaddle him up tight and warm and he would fall right to sleep nestled against me. A perfect fit, his sweet little body intertwined in my arms.

Now his ever-growing toddler legs dangle almost to my knees as they move in rhythm with each step that I take, lightly grazing my thighs and alerting me to just how quickly my little boy is growing up. A tangible reminder to savor each beautiful moment with him.

I love pruney baby feet.

I just want to eat them!

A bubble bath for two was just what we needed.

Now onwards and upwards with the rest of the week!

I hope you are able to find some time today as well to munch on some baby feet but certainly take that time atleast to savor a few of your own life’s moments.

is where I reflect on a few of the many blessing and special moments in my life at the end of every week♥   

   This week the past two weeks I am especially thankful for:

~My sick little boy getting well.

~Making it home safely through the craziest rain storm I have ever driven in.

~Shopping til’ we dropped with Mister Mister’s mom.

~A wonderful day with my boys.

~Chips & salsa. It’s seriously at the top of my list of most favorite things!

~Falling asleep next to Lovey’s warm, little body.

~A thinking of you card from my Mama. I love her. I miss her so very much.

~How photogenic Lovey is. I adore taking his photo as much as the little ham does having it taken.

~Oh those sunny days♥ I know I mention that one often but a little sunshine wedged between all the rain here always makes me happy.

~Knowing that the end to the long week ahead is only five days away and counting!

It had been far too long since we had taken that time for one another, so it turned out to be a much-needed and enjoyed evening. We always say that we are going to get away together more often but then life, as we all know, makes its own plans and they are always such busy ones. Go figure!

This year though, a definite priority for us is finding that time for each other, keeping the spark alive! It’s even on my Lovely List, so you know it’s important business.

A lovely time it was indeed spent with just that, my love♥

Lovey is incognito today.

He says his name is now Froggy Ribbit-Ribbit.

Frightening for Mister Mister and I as this was Lovey’s first time being so sick and just plain miserable for him. All the while though he still maintained his composer enough to use his manners and say; “no thank you, mama” when I would attempt to give him a dose of children’s Tylenol.

 Always me sweet boy. Always.

Lots of love, prayer, patience, cartoon watching and Vicks VapoRub later and he is thankfully, almost as good as new. Well enough to get his appetite back, his sense of humor and the itch to play cars with me as we watched the rain fall outside the window.

He counted the cars 1,2,3,4,5.

And told me his favorite, the red one!

Tuesday we had a big snow storm. It came fast and furious leaving us with eight inches. The most snow I have seen all at once or combined in total even, since moving here two and a half years ago. It moved in around 9pm but was washed away by heavy rains by the next afternoon, which have yet to let up. When Mister Mister arrived home from work in Wednesday’s early morning hours he and I headed outside to build a snowman or two. I’m sure we looked completely ridiculous to anyone in the neighborhood that was watching the snow fall out their windows but we didn’t care. We had so much fun and enjoyed that bit of carefree time spent with one another. The plan was to take Lovey out to play in it the next morning. I had his snow outfit laid out in advance and a lovely snowman and snow angel on my to do list. But when morning came Lovey was far too sick and we didn’t want to risk causing him to become any more so.

So unfortunately Lovey didn’t get to have any snow fun this time around.

There will be many more snows to come that we will enjoy and savor with him though.

For now we are just glad to once again have our little boy back to his healthy, happy self because oh how we have missed his smile. ♥

~Instead of saying have a nice day Lovey says have a happy day! He makes my days happy indeed.

~How Lovey always gives me a hug and kiss before he leaves whatever room I am in. Most days I would say I average a good hundred or so from him. Oh how I love his sweet, sweet hugs and kisses! ♥

~It has been a productive first week of the year and next week is looking to be yet another beginning tomorrow when I can check off the first thing on my Year Of lovely Things list. Check back to see which one it is!   

~Today is my oldest brother’s birthday. Happy Birthday big brother, I love you!
