is where I reflect on a few of the many blessing and special moments in my life at the end of every week♥
This week I am especially thankful for!…
~My little sister’s birthday. She is so very special to me and truly is my soul sister. ♥
~Lamp shopping with Mister Mister’s mom. She helped me pick out the perfect lamps for our livingroom.
~Friday night Pizza and a movie on the couch with Lovey. We watched UP for the millionth time. That sweet movie never gets old.
~A lovely new chevron throw for our master bedroom. It coordinates perfectly with our duvet cover and I love the pop of pattern.
~Father’s Day and the special Dads in my life, especially my Dad and Mister Mister. I love them so very much. ♥ I’m thankful that Mister Mister was able to be home for the day so that Lovey and I could love on him and let him know how much he means to us not just today but every day of the year. ♥

~The big, beautiful blooms on our Rose bushes.
~A sweet spirited afternoon with Mister Mister before he had to leave for work out-of-town at the last-minute. Always so bitter/sweet when he has to go but it always causes us to savor those last moments together all the more.
~The older Lovey gets the more he misses his Daddy those times that he is away. One morning after Mister Mister had left, while Lovey was “scheduling” his return on my phones calendar, though tears were shed, humor was still present when he asked me if he could have a tissue to wipe his eyeballs. Cute.
~A movie date, just Lovey and I. We watched Escape From Planet Earth. We ate candy and laughed the entire time.
~Lovey falls asleep holding my hand. In that moment there is no where in the world I would rather be. ♥
~The plumbing nightmare at our house has finally came to an end. The culprit of the flood, a broken faucet upstairs has been fixed. All flood damage cleaned & replaced. Almost completely back to normal after a long week of torn up floors, VERY loud industrial fans and people in and out of our house all day every day. I never realized how much I appreciate the peace and quiet of our home until it was abruptly interrupted. Needless to say I am very happy for its return. Silence truly is golden!
~A new chest of drawers in our mater bedroom. Extra space to store items that were bursting out of our closets my closet.

~The above photo of a beautiful double rainbow that Mister Mister caught while he was at work.
~Memorial Day and the red white & blue! Thank you to all who have served and are currently serving in our military.
~Date night with my Love. We saw Hangover III (watching the Hangover movies in theater when they come out is our tradition!) and had a delicious dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant.
~Ice cold strawberry milk. Mmmmm!
~The perfect Kick off to the first day of June with my little guy in our backyard blowing bubbles, playing kick ball/catch and enjoying DQ S’more Blizzards. ♥

~An afternoon spent at the mall with Lovey. We ate coconut frozen yogurt and people watched as we set beneath the sky lights, storm clouds gathering and rain falling over head.
~A lovely, new picture collage arrangement in our diningroom. Every time I pass through the room it make me smile.
~Have I ever mentioned I have the sweetest little boy?! Lovey put lotion on my feet and “rubbed” them for me, completely unprompted. He is so thoughtful and kind. ♥
~Those “kids say the darndest things” moments are some of the most unexpected treasures in the life of a parent!… I was moving a heavy cabinet from my craft room to its new home in the “crafty hallway” (long story & a future post) when Lovey asked me, “Do you wish Daddy was here to help?” I replied, “That would be nice.” He thought for a second then replied, “Too bad I am not a magician! But I’m not and it’s not like I can wave a magic wand and POOF! Daddy is here.”… Maybe it was just me or maybe it was one of those moments you needed to be present to truly savor his humor. As I stood there though, staring at him only wearing his undies, waving a pretend magic wand, it was difficult to take him seriously and I couldn’t hold back my laughter. He really is one hilarious little guy.
~A late Friday afternoon nap with my little guy, inadvertently causing us to stay up well past our bedtime. I introduced him to my love of Home Alone movies and we played a multitude of made up off the cuff card games. His favorite “game,” organizing all the cards into numerical order lol. A wild Friday night for sure.

~Shopping for some crafty goodness with the Michael’s gift card Mister Mister’s mom gave me for Mother’s Day.
~I have such sweet childhood memories of visiting the Sonic drive in with my family. I’ve continued the memories with Lovey, going together when we are in the area during happy hour. There’s nothing like a limeaid on a hot day!
~A fun, fiesta themed baking order. Olay!
~A full week of nothing but sunny skies and warm temperatures and spending time outside each day enjoying it with Lovey.
~An early Mother’s Day celebration with Mister Mister’s mom. Lovey cuddled up on her lap and she read him a story then they played the afternoon away together while she and I had a great catch up conversation. Lovey and I always enjoy our time with her. ♥
~The thoughtful stranger who gave me a flower, then told me Happy Mother’s Day and that I am a beautiful Mom, while I was out and about with Lovey on Mother’s Day. It made my day.
~Mother’s Day spent with my sweet, little boy who makes it possible for me to embrace the day as a Mother. He is my whole world. ♥

~Freshly shampooed carpets in our home.

~A play date for Lovey at Chuck E Cheese.
~Friday night pizza delivery and snuggles on the couch with Lovey while watching old school Full House.
~The mechanics at our car dealership for fixing our car’s tire problem.
~The amazing summer like weather we have had this week. It makes me so very happy to look at the weather forecast and see nothing but clear skies and sunshine.
~Playing water balloon hot potato with Lovey this afternoon. It rounded out our week with smiles and the sound of Lovey’s giggles. ♥
Thank You Lord for Your many gracious blessings in my life!

~A lot of fun time spent with Lovey at our mall’s play area, the aquarium, Chuck E. Cheese, the movies to watch Rise Of The Guardians and his favorite place, the inflatable play land in town.
~A mug rack for our kitchen, right next to the Keurig for easy access.
~Lovey has been putting himself to bed without my help lately. He tells me he’s going to “take a nap” every night at bedtime then five minutes later he is sound asleep for the night in his bed.
~I have been on a peach kick lately so I am loving my new lavender and peach blossom candle. It smells of so lovely.
~Playing hopscotch on the front porch with Lovey. I drew the hopscotch with chalk and he decorated around it. I sit on the door step and watch him jump along and when invited, I join in for a hopscotch race to see who can jump the quickest. Sweet. Simple. Perfect moments in time.
~When I was a little girl, Disney’s Pocahontas was one of my favorite movies to watch. After having not seen it for close to fifteen years, it came on the Disney channel this afternoon and I have to admit that I set down and watched some of it while the boys were out of the house. It brought a smile to my face and flooded my memory with happy childhood memories.
~My heart goes out to all those affected by the tragic events in America this week like the Boston bombings and the explosion in Texas. I know that sometimes it can be difficult and feel almost selfish to indulge in the little things that bring joy to our lives when so many are consumed by such sorrow and pain. The beauty of life is if you consciously choose to live yours in love, acknowledging all the moments that make up your one wild and precious life you will radiate a light that will uplift and encourage those you come into contact with. A light that will transcend the bad. A spiritual paying it forward. Often when tragedy strikes the only thing to do is pray. Then when you get up off your knees, embrace the light in your life so that it will shine so brightly that others who are experiencing a period of darkness will be reminded of the light also inside them.

~Playing Hot Wheels on the kitchen floor with Lovey. We lost a few under the stove but it was worth the fast paced action the floor tile provided for racing.
~The first day this year warm enough to wear shorts and flip-flops. Woo hoo! You can bet Lovey and I spent the afternoon out and about soaking up the sunshine and warmth of the day.
~New kitchen dish towels found on clearance and a splurge on new throw pillows for the couch. Both adding a little pop of yellow to our house for Spring.
~Playing superheros with my little man. I assume the role of a lady in distress and he’s the super hero that protects me from the bad guys. My sweet hero saves the day and keeps me safe every time!
~A beautiful and blessed Easter weekend spent with my boys. ♥

~While cooking Lovey breakfast one morning, he ran up to me, wrapped his little arms around my legs, looked up at me with those baby blues of his and said ”You’re the best cooker, Mom!” ♥
~The first day of Spring! It may still only be in the 50′s here but it is officially SPRING! and I will gladly take it.
~Big brother little sister get it all out, talk about any and everything, cry, laugh, nothing but love conversations. I love my big brother A and I am so thankful for the bond we share and the heart to heart talks that we have.
~Teaching Lovey the little piggy rhyme on his toes that my mom taught me when I was his age: “This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home…” He belly laughs every time as he tries to wiggle away from me by the time I get to his last little piggy.
~Sunday afternoon. Cinnabon. Play time at the mall’s kid’s corner with Lovey and family dinner out. The highlight of a very rough week.
~”Love bears all things. Believes all things. Hopes all things. Endures all things ” 1 Corinthians 13:7 Oh how this verse has been on repeat in my mind, heart and soul this week. I believe it with all of my heart but goodness is it hard to purposely live it out through my words and actions sometimes!
~Last but not least this week, I’m thankful that I went ahead and wrote this post even though I really wasn’t feeling up to writing it. I’m thankful that I took the time to dig deeper than I usually have to in order to focus my heart on the blessings this week held for me, even if they were among things that broke my spirit for a while. I want to be an advocate for never letting life’s painful moments overshadow the sweet ones because even when everything seems to be falling apart, the truth is that it really isn’t. This too shall pass. It is a season of our life. A chapter in our book. There are brighter days ahead. There is always light at the end of the darkness in the form of God’s unfailing love for us. †
